2022 Dec Progress


I'm still kinda sorta on break. I'll be home for the holidays, and the weekends between will be rough for me as I work my real job. But if I sit around and do nothing, I get antsy, so I've been tinkering with a couple things. Firstly, behold—a WIP UI with a fancy screen transition.

This isn't the finalized UI, obviously, but it will be fairly similar to this. The buttons bar on the right will be able to squish down during illustrated sequences, and the colors can change according to the scene—they'll mark the time of day, mostly!

Also, I'd like you all to meet a new character.


He doesn't have a name yet, but he's a good friend of Sullivan's—he'll also be the one dropping Sam off at the cabin! You'll get to know him a bit before he dips out. Rest easy, though—he'll show back up again!

That's all I have for you now! Pretty much everything needs redone from scratch. But I feel really good about the visual and tonal direction of the visual novel now, and I couldn't have done it without your feedback. I'll post more progress next month. Cheers!
